Ellen began studying music at age 8 in Buffalo, New York, where her first paid gig was compensated with a sack of potatoes for performing at the local potato festival. In 2008 she graduated from the Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory of Music with a board certification in Music Therapy with emphasis on Music Education and performance focus on double bass and piano. Her involvement in the music industry is well rounded, with experience as a professional performer, music program director, recording technician, teacher, and music therapist in NYC and abroad. Her true passion came to fruition when she incorporated The Music Moment in 2011 and concentrated her work on children with autism and music therapy advocacy. She is the CEO/Director of The Music Moment, LLC and Co-Founder of SpeaksEasy Studio. Ellen resides in Summit, NJ with her husband John and her pet dog Lizzy.
