Music Therapy and Related Resources

American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) is the central support center for Music Therapists in the United States, and sets the education and clinical training standards for Music Therapists. Their mission is to “advance public awareness of the benefits of music therapy and increase access to quality music therapy services in a rapidly changing world”. Research supported by the AMTA is published in the Journal of Music Therapy, and Music Therapy Perspectives.

The AMTA works closely with the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) to assure quality regulation and set the standards for clinical practice.
